Ski Conditions

We skied the Kristi Valley today. HST 15 (and still falling!) with 30-40cms over the Dec. 6 MFcr at TL, breaking down in the ALP on polar slopes. Wind Slabs on lee slopes in the ALP were unreactive; however, we avoided lee features when possible.

Field Wx (TL): -5C, S-1, L, W winds and HS 120cm @ 1750m. Ski Pen 10-20cms

Avalanche Obs: We observed one LD sz 1.5 on steep SE slope at 10:00. Otherwise, no signs of instability.

Skiing was surprisingly good in the ALP and upper TL. Lower elevations are still early season conditions. Lots of creeks running across the road making the sled ride more "adventurous."
