Mt. Temple- East Ridge

Climbing Conditions

Hello, I guided an ascent of the East Ridge of Mt. Temple on July 26, 2021. We found the route to be in good condition. The summit ridge was more straightforward than expected and provided mostly secure footing on slushy/crusty ice. We walked most of the ridge but did pitch out a steeper section.

Water can be found near the black band but you’ll have to work for it. To get water here you’ll have to either go out of your way a bit or stay on route and bring a flat plastic water funnelling device to speed up the refilling process. We also found small pool of water on the glaciated summit ridge shortly before the summit.

Have a great summer!
