Spent the day in the Blackcomb slackcountry (Husume, DOA, Spearhead Glacier). Notable obs: significant wind transport, with strong to very strong gusty winds out of the South. Warming temps (hovering around 0 degrees at 2000m in the afternoon) and wind transport were quickly forming pockets of slab on lee features that were easily triggered by skier traffic in steeper terrain.
Ski conditions above 1800m stayed quite good, despite PM warming.
Concerns mainly lay with larger unsupported features with significant wind load, and rapid new cornice growth coupled with warm temps.
