I spent the last three days guiding in the Pass. The conditions changed significantly when there. Today we went up to the Asulkan Cabin and found deep powder with up to 40cm of ski penetration. Excellent skiing, but you had to work to get to it.

It snowed all day, and the temperature remained below freezing. Winds were honking in the alpine, but the ceiling was low so we had virtually no views of what was happening up high.

No avalanches observed today, however yesterday I skier controlled and skier remoted (from 20m) two size 1s in the new snow near Balu Pass.
