Hi all,
I guided an ascent of the Northwest ridge of Sir Donald yesterday July 30. We descended via the West face bypass and rappel route. The approach, lower camp, route and descent are snow free and in good shape.
Generally great alpine conditions in Rogers Pass area, see photos. There is currently a bear warning for the Sir Donald hiking trail, we did not see any bear activity. The smoke from various local fires was felt and visible however, very manageable.
Enjoy this amazing summer weather!
Cheers,
David Lussier
