Climbed the NW ridge of Sir Donald to the top of the rappel route. There is a 100m section of avalanche debris including numerous trees to cross along the section of Sir Donald trail below the Practice Slopes. The rest of the trail up to within a short distance of the lower bivouac is in good shape. The lower bivouac is covered in snow, the green throne outhouse is melted out. Little if any overnight freeze made for easy step kicking on the snow slopes below the Uto Sir Donald col with an ice axe for security. There is a large snow patch at the col bivouac. The ridge still has some old cornice in places but they appear to be avoidable. The West Face Bypass route has large snow patches and is best avoided right now. The rappel route is in good shape. The down climbing below the rappels has large patches of snow requiring thoughtful progress down to the Sir Donald trail.
