I enjoyed climbing Mount Robson from August 4–7 in immaculate conditions. We summited on August 6 with clear skies and excellent overnight recovery.
The recent storm snow from last weekend appears to be bonding well to the existing snowpack, creating good footing over firm summer snow.

Conditions & Observations
Patterson Spur Trail
In good condition and well marked.
Kain Face
P1: Expect to use snow anchors while climbing and during descent. We probed more than 2.5 m in this area.
P2: I dug through approximately 160 cm of snow to reach ice for a V-thread on descent.
P3–6: Snow depth was approximately 40–60 cm.
Kain Face to SE Ridge Traverse
Firm snow throughout.
We kicked in a good track across the traverse.
SE Ridge
Predominantly snow travel, with a few opportunities to dig in for screws.
