Climbing Conditions

On July 27, Banff Visitor Safety went to the Neil Colgan Hut via the Scheisser Ledges, climbed Mt Fay West Ridge on the 28th, Mt. Little on the 29th, and then descended the Perran route. Excellent travel on firm summer snow. Strong winds and cloud cover during the period kept the snow cool through the day. Good step kicking up to the ridge on both mountains and the shrund on Mt Fay was still well filled in (see photos).
