Avalanche Control is planned for Friday December 19 in Yoho National Park. Explosives will be deployed using both permanent installations as well as helicopters involving slopes on Mt Bosworth, Cathedral Mountain, Mt Field, and Mt Stephen. All of these areas are closed to park users all day. No climbing or skiing is permitted in any of these areas.
The Trans Canada Highway will be closed east of the Field townsite at 11:00 for approximately 1.5 hours.
