Climbing Conditions

Climbing Conditions

We had perfect conditions on Sir Donald's classic ridge on Tuesday the 2nd. Reportedly the day before 15 people climbed the ridge, while we were a total of 5, with two tents in camp. Leaving on the 3rd there were approximately the same number of climbers, down from what everyone said was a very busy long weekend.

The water situation at the bivi is a stagnant puddle in the sand flats growing smaller by the day, and a couple of drips above camp that are perhaps just big enough to get a bottle under.

Separately, if you are the party from Uto on the 2nd who picked up a sling of cams on the Sir Donald approach, please get in touch. I was told your plan was to return them to Parks, but they did not seem to receive them.

Enjoy the end of the summer.
