Climbing Conditions

To further Parks' report, it was great seeing them up at the Dome. Matt Reynolds joined me and a client hiking from the highway, and climbed the Kain Face the day after Parks on Aug 25.
On the walk in we passed approximately 20 people, the most Robson summitteers I have experienced. The Thoeni Highway is getting much better defined with travel, as is the Patterson Spur which has an obvious path in many places.
In order to gain the Dome people are traveling the three pinnacles of the rock ridge, often in approach shoes as there is very limited snow on the ridge itself. In our party two wore boots and one wore approach shoes.
Truly incredible high pressure which had the upper mountain as Parks described, though we noted over our days that the evening set-up was getting less pronounced and suspect that the Kain Face will quickly lose snow if the high temperatures persist
