Got out for a great hike up to Buller Pass today. Partly cloudy skies with temps in the mid 20s. The lower 3rd of the trail has about 6 downed trees but they are easy to navigate around with only one testing our (nonexistent) limbo skills. Almost no snow up high which made travel fairly easy up to the pass. The larches are almost fully green which is about 3 weeks earlier than other years. All in all it was an awesome day to be in the mountains. If you weren’t, you missed out!
