Icefields Parkway Closure Avalanche Control

Significant precipitation is forecasted along the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93) beginning February 6 2023:

Beginning at February 6 2023 1700hrs, the Icefields Parkway from Athabasca Falls, to Saskatchewan River Crossing will be closed. Avalanche control work followed by road cleanup has already been scheduled to take place on Wednesday February 8.

The Icefields Parkway is expected to reopen on February 9 1600hrs moderate confidence.
