Please note that the actual ridge was not the objective today, we just wanted to get out on a bit of a recon trip. I’m glad we decided on the suffer slippers today as opposed to AT gear, the descent would have been heinous on skis with many stumps and snags sticking out. Temps were cold at the start of the day at -18, but there seemed to be a bit of an inversion as it warmed up to a -7 with blue skies and no wind. It ended up being quite an enjoyable day. HS was about 40 cm with absolutely no base. Skiers beware!
