Climbed Bourgeau Left today - first party of two total on the route. The climb is in generally good conditions, with the lower pitches relatively fat. The upper pitches above the halfway ledge are quite sn'icy and challenging to protect in places, and with the sunny day we had today the WI3 was wet and slushy.
Walked up above the top belay to have a look at the upper bowl (see photos). Both the steeper areas below the climb as well as the chute above the climb had relatively consolidated, but unreactive windslab resting on a thick layer of facets. Definitely something to keep in mind as the week warms up!
