Today felt like my warmest day alpine climbing of the summer. Alan Jones and I climbed the North East Buttress of The Rampart, then traversed back to the car over Afton and Abbot. The route was bone dry and there was no lingering snow visible anywhere from the last storm up high including Sir Donald or the North Face of Mt Bonney.
Also of note the South Face of Mt Rogers did not have any ice showing (all snow).
Enjoy the amazing conditions while they last!
