We skied a few laps at Bow Summit today. There was about 20cm of new snow when we arrived, that almost filled in the old tracks. It snowed a future few cm’s through the day. No avalanche activity was noted but visibility was poor. The skiing was excellent.
Road conditions were poor, with a number of vehicles in the ditch on the 93N and Hwy 1. Not much plowing happening north of Lake Louise, so expect to be self reliant with good tires and a high clearance vehicle.
It’s snowing about 5cm per hour in Canmore at the moment (7:00pm). I am expecting avalanche and road conditions to continue deteriorating over the next 12-24 hours, be safe if you do venture out!
