We just spent August 19-20 in the Hermit Meadows area climbing the West Ridge of Tupper and the Swiss Glacier route on Mount Rogers.
Tupper was dry the entire way. The couloir on Rogers was in the best shape I've seen it in at this time of year for quite some time. We had a strong freeze in the morning and found a couple of solid bridge options for crossing the bergschrund. There is about 100cm of firm snow on the ice. Our greatest concern was for rockfall once things warmed up in the afternoon, of which there has been a little on this slope recently.
The bugs weren't too bad at the Hermit camp.
All the best,
