Just completed a 3 day backpacking trip into the Egypt Lake area via Simpson Pass. The trip started out wet and we waited out some thunder and lightening below the Monarch view point. Trail has many muddy sections but if the Wx remains stable they should dry up for the most part. The benefit of all this rain has made the wild flowers up at Healy Pass the best I have ever seen (and I’ve been traveling in this area for many many years)! Of course with all the rain the mosquitoes are horrendous! Get out to see the flowers while you can!!
