Ski Conditions

Went for a short jaunt to see what this storm was bringing to the coast. 0 to +1 at the parking lot with more than 30cms of new snow. New Snow depths increased to almost 50cms by our high point of 1600m. Below zero temps and drier snow seemed to start about 1300m. Point releases were common in steep BTL terrain with new snow rates of 2-4 cams per hour all day. Of note was witnessing a BTL size 2 natural avalanche likely triggered from a tree bomb in open S-SW terrain at 1500m. It ran quite far. Heads up and time to let the new snow settle for a bit!
