Again this year, early season closures in key caribou habitat in Jasper National Park are in effect. Seasonal closures to the Tonquin, Maligne-Brazeau, and North Boundary areas of Jasper National Park will take effect on November 1, 2016. The Tonquin area will reopen for winter recreation on February 16, 2017. All other areas will reopen on March 1, 2017.
