We climbed the North Glacier route on Mt Athabasca yesterday, August 11.
The firn line is at 2700 m, with good snow coverage (for August in the 21st century) above that elevation. There is a fair amount of old avalanche debris that has bridged the crevasses below the Silverhorn.
On the ramp and above the snow was quite punchy with some postholing both up and down. For some reason the snowpack has not settled out well in this place this summer.
I've attached a photo of the Skyladder, which is now mostly dirt.
