MCR Updates

Hello Mountain Conditions Friends…

Since its inception the purpose of the Mountain Conditions Report is to provide professional mountain conditions information to the public, to assist recreational outdoors people in making reasonable, informed decisions in the field. To date, 2,450 field observations from trained and certified ACMG members who have recently traversed a specific mountain area have been shared publicly. The ACMG's original concept of information sharing with the public was enhanced by our fantastic partnership with Arc'teryx, who put some huge resources into developing the platform and continue to support the initiative. The ACMG with the design and development support of VentureWeb will now take on the management and the administration of the MCR as well as steer its future evolution.

We are excited to describe the next phase in the evolution of the Mountain Conditions Reporting program. As always, all reports will continue to be prepared and submitted on a volunteer basis by ACMG members who are committed to our mandate of protecting the public interest. The MCR will now feature:
