Trail Conditions

I just returned from guiding a group from Sunshine Village over Simpson Pass, into Egypt Lake and out Ball Pass. We lucked out weather wise, but got eaten alive by mosquitoes. Parks needs to improve the signage/strategy up at Healy Pass as there were over a dozen people hiking up the Monarch Ramparts (disregarding the signage indicating the area is closed)!

The wild flowers are at least 2 weeks behind but the trails over all 4 passes are surprisingly dry but expect A LOT of blow down which made for some challenging travel having to step over or limbo under with backpacks on.
