Avalanche Conditions

Wind affected snow in Alpine

Connaught valley Ursus Trees

Avalanche Conditions

Connaught creek and Ursus trees.

Up to 50 cm over the crust at tree line and above.

This storm snow was reactive to remote trigger by skier in isolated location.

Extensive wind affected snow in the alpine. However good skiing in the trees.

Several Natural Avalanches has been observed up to size 2.5 mainly on the Cheops side in the upper Connaught valley. Most of these avalanches ran down to the top of the fan or mid way down it. Actually, I was expecting to see more avalanches activities.

Still early season, but good coverage for this time of the year.
