Nov 5 rain crust

Avalanche Conditions

During an AST 1 course today we found the recent Nov 5 rain crust at 2200 m 25mm thick with about 10cm low density above. Winds moving this around in the alpine. Suspect the crust would exist at least a few hundred meters higher. About 50 cm of snow on the deck at treeline.
Parking lot is open and it's nice to see a finished construction project;)
