Early Season Ice Conditions

Colorado - San Juans - South Mineral Creek

Climbing Conditions

Interesting early season conditions in SMC. The usually consistent Direct North Face route has not formed the lower half yet. The upper half can be accessed by climbing Snotty Nosed Brat then shwacking left to the DNF drainage.

The Good:
Campgroud Couloir (all 3 branches have ice), new anchors on Central Couloir.
Snowblind
Snotty Nosed Brat
Cataract Creek

The not-so-good:
DNF. Lower half is dry, upper half is fat.
Sundance. Has ice, looks baked and delaminated.
