Climbing Conditions

Climbing Conditions

We were in the Bugaboos July 12-15. We climbed Eastpost in between showers on July 13 and Pigeon W Ridge on a pretty nice day July 14.

Glaciers and the Bugaboo-Snowpatch col are in excellent shape although there is a crevasse opening up near the base of Pigeon W Ridge that the trail goes over.

The spires have been getting a regular dusting of snow or hail that burns off on solar aspects with a few hours of sun. Pigeon was greasy on the way up and dry on the way down, except for the traverse on the north side which had a good covering of snow.
